If you are reading this then you are obviously contemplating the idea of owning your own Holiday Home.

Looking on the internet there are lots and lots of different caravans, all sorts of people claiming sales and discounts, and too many parks to choose from. I am sure it can be an quite a daunting task and somewhat overwhelming?..

Well here’s a little help… just keep it simple… the most important part of your decision is finding the right park that best fits your needs and what you want out of your new lifestyle. Just think about what it is that has brought you to the idea of owning your own holiday home and where will feel right for you.

I will even offer you my services and advice to help you make a decision on another park, I have been around holiday homes since I was a toddler as I was lucky enough that my Nanny and Grandpa owned a Holiday home, so there isn’t I will even offer you my services and advice to help you make a decision on another park, I have been around holiday homes since I was a little toddler, as I was lucky enough that my Nanny and Grandpa owned a Holiday home and I got to experience the wonderful childhood that brought me. I then went onto build a career in the industry and so after all these years there isn’t much I can’t help you with.

So a little bit about us…

If I could describe our park in three statements I would say..

• We are a peaceful and tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
• A small community where new friends become old friends.
• Where our owners enjoyment, peace of mind and needs are at the forefront of everything we do.

We are Kingfisher Country and Leisure park, a 5* Holiday Park set in beautiful countryside with stunning views of the river wear. We are a stone’s throw away from the historical villages of Wolsingham and Stanhope and a little hidden secret nestled near the Durham Dales. The drive into our park will bring a smile to your face even after the longest drive.

Why have we been awarded 5 stars?.. Firstly our amazing location and immaculately landscaped grounds constantly tended to by our hard working and award winning gardeners. Secondly, and equally as importantly, the way we look after our owners. Here is a small window into what makes us so proud and passionate about what we do.

• We are open for the full 52 weeks of the year so you can use your Holiday Home whenever is convenient for you. Not only that, we will give your holiday home a weekly ‘peace of mind check’ so if you are not here you will not have to worry about your holiday home.

• We are a small park with only 140 owners which really does add to the intimate community feel of our park and allows our customer service team to give you the attention we feel you deserve.

• We are an owner only park, so you will soon get to know everybody around you and soon become part of the Kingfisher family. This gives a safe and neighbourly environment and offers reassuring support to all of us on site.

• We have designed our park with huge pitches so you have plenty of space around your new holiday home, with room for a veranda and all come with your very own hard standing parking bay as standard.

• Who are our customer services team? They are the ones that will ensure you are really looked after. All free of charge, we will put your heating on for your arrival, unpack and put away your shopping, bring you your morning newspaper, book your meal at a local restaurant and even arrange your taxis. We care what you think and will regularly check that we are doing a good job and are always open to new ideas and ways we can improve what we do.

• We hold regular owners community events on park and in the close surrounding areas, they are away from the holiday homes and so will never disturb your relaxation. Attendance is not required, however we are so pleased with how many owners come along to enjoy these events with our team, we would love for you to come along so we can help you get to know the other owners on park.

• We are a pet friendly park with direct access to the Weardale walks.

• We have our own private fishing rights to the River Wear in case you fancy dusting off your fishing gear.

• We have a free mini bus to take you to a local pub and restaurant that does a fantastic Sunday dinner. So whether it’s a quite drink on an afternoon, or a meal followed by cabaret and bingo, we will make sure you arrive and return safely.

• We take care of the rest of the family too, whether its children or grandchildren, we have a traditional wooden and safe children’s play area, lots of events to entertain the children, and best of all we give them free access to the Weardale outdoor centre where they can enjoy Canoeing, Kayaking, climbing, archery, bush craft, high ropes, underground river exploration, river adventures and much more. And yes it’s all totally free, so you can finally persuade them to put down their PlayStation and tablets and get some fresh country air.

You may have one last worry after reading this, and that could be it sounds expensive. Not at all, and unlike most parks we will give you our price up front. Why? Because we believe we are great value as our ground rent includes everything I have described to you earlier, and that hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised. All pitches on our park are only £3195 for the full 52 weeks of the year, and the only extras are any gas and electricity you use.

We are so confident that our park sells itself we don’t rely on pestering you with phone calls, instead we like to offer customers a free night stay in a luxury holiday home on our park so you can experience everything our lifestyle has to offer.
